Hi, my name is Alan Son. I created alanlife.com to help keep track of my discoveries and provide a guide through the Information Age. As a child I played a lot of video games, explored amazing worlds and immersed myself in fantasy adventures with problems that needed solving around every digital corner. I got interested in technology from a very early age and was inspired by the ZX Spectrum home computer. I was amazed at the level of interactivity that was possible.

In 1993 I won the Junior SEGA UK Championship and represented the UK in the European Championship in Austria. Since those early days I went on to Study Information Technology and Multimedia Systems, I am now the owner and Managing Director of Hyperstream Limited, a Digital Media and IT Services Company based in London. My goal is to develop cutting edge interactive applications and video games and work on interesting projects.

Even during my lifetime I have witnessed unbelievable rapid changes in digital technology. New communication and collaboration tools have helped the world share information in ways that even I could not imagine.
